Boa Systems has won an award for the design of its Wildlife Counter
used by the New Island South Conservation Trust to count Penguins
in the Falkland Islands. On the 11 May over 50 Engineers from
38 companies across Britain gathered at Chesterton Golf Club in
Oxfordshire, for a Solid Edge users day. The event was hosted
by Cutting Edge Solutions Ltd and supported by Unigraphics Solutions
Ltd the manufacturer of the 'Solid Edge' engineering design software.
A number of industry leaders were on hand to demonstrate their
products that support the Unigraphics' Solid Edge platform. The
event also provides an informal opportunity for engineers to meet
and exchange their experiences and views with each other. The
day concluded with the presentations for the best examples of
design completed using Solid Edge. The competition, which has
proved a popular feature of these events, was open to over 300
organisations across Britain. The award for best product assembly
was received by Jonathan Smith on behalf of Boa Systems. The awards
for best rendered image and best individual part went to Felton
Sheet Metal and Hygate Transmissions respectively. For further
